Construction Features of Segmental Saw Blades "JAUFASA" Saw Plate is made from high quality alloy steel, heattreated to about 1400 N/mm2 resistance and its periphery is tongued. Segments are from selected highspeed steel (HSS) and fit with their lower hardened, slotted part over the tongue of the plate and are mounted with four fastening rivets and each one alignment rivet to the plate. The Ring of Segments is equally taper ground from kerf to plate and grooved by coolant slots. For 8 and more teeth per segment coolanta slots will be put in only on request. The low tooth cuts with its total width and is by the height difference (h) lower than the high tooth. That leads to a tripling of the chip and clean surface of the cut.

In the above designed "Chamfer Grind" also the low tooth is slightly bevelled. The Gullet is well rounded to allow easy curling chips. The depth of tooth (t) is about 0,4 of the tooth pitch (T). |
The Tooth Form is the standard form with the rake angle and clearance angle depending on the material to be cut (see tabal next page). The Teeth are formed with a high tooth (V) and a low tooth (N). The high tooth is bevelled on the sides ata an angle of 45º with each 1/3 of the total kerf and cuts to the depth. |
